Piping Plover – Hampton Beach, New Hampshire USA

I read at Fosters.com that Piping Plover eggs were stolen from Hampton Beach State Park – New Hampshire in early May of this year. Piping plovers usually nest every year at Hampton Beach State Park and fencing is put up so humans do not disturb the nests.

The piping plover is a threatened and endangered species.

Dixville Notch, NH Autumn

Route 26 from the steep cliffs of Dixville Notch, NH

I managed to spend a day in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire this year photographing autumn foliage. The weather was not perfect, but the colors were incredible! Better than any year I remember in the Dixville Notch area.

Cascade Brook – Dixville Notch, NH

The Notch has some great brooks to photograph during the autumn months. Both brooks are located only a short distance off of Route 26.

The steep cliffs along the notch offer awesome views of Lake Gloriette, The Balsams Grand Resort and Route 26.
